John F. Masciarelli

John F. Masciarelli

Funeral Director

John F. Masciarelli has been a licensed Funeral Director for 40 years and is the President-Treasurer of Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes. He is a past corporator of the Friends of the Senior Citizens Center and served on its board of directors. He is a former member and consultant for "Families Moving Forward After Loss". He is a past member of the Fitchburg East Rotary Club, serving on its Board of Directors and is a Paul Harris Fellow, and founder of the Rocky Piccicuto Scholarship. He is a past President of the Montachusett Funeral Directors Association and has served on the board of directors of the Wallace Civic Center, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, St. Bernard's Parish Council and Audit committee, Co-Chairman of the St. Bernard's Renovation Fund, Chairman of the St. Bernard's Parish Forward in Faith Campaign, Vice President of the St. Bernard's Elementary School Parents Teachers Association, a former Co-chairperson of the St. Bernard's Parish Bazaar for several years, St. Anthony’s Parish Council and Finance Committee, a longtime Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Joseph P. Keating, Fitchburg Council #99 and longtime Board member, the Fitchburg Order of the Sons of Italy in America, Cristoforo Columbo Regina Lodge #169, the Irish American Association and the Fitchburg Y.M.C.A. He is a former Corporator of the Fidelity Cooperative Bank. He is 1970 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg, and has degrees from Mount Wachusett Community College, Fitchburg State College, and the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Science in Boston. He lives with his wife, Deborah Jean in the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home and is the proud father of two daughters, Melissa Ann Stephens and Patricia Masciarelli Galley and is the proud grandfather of granddaughter, Phoebe Margaret Galley.

Henry J. Masciarelli

Henry J. Masciarelli

In Memory of Henry J. Masciarelli

Henry J. Masciarelli was a licensed funeral director for 50 years. He was a former trustee of the Fitchburg Public Library, served 26 years as a director of the Fidelity Co-Operative Bank and chairman of its security committee. He was also a 25-year member of the Fitchburg Rotary Club and served as a board member of the Salvation Army as well as many other civic and fraternal organizations. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and the New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science and Embalming. He is a veteran of World War II, serving with the 10th Mountain Division in the European theater. He was awarded the Purple Heart and decorated with the Bronze Star.  Henry died in 1998 and his wife of 50 years, Rita L. (Danahey) Masciarelli died in 2017.


Walter C. Taylor

Walter C. Taylor has been a licensed Funeral Director for 31 years. Wally joined the Masciarelli Family Funeral Home staff as a Funeral Director in March of 1999 and now manages the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home at 123 Main St. in Westminster. He was born in Flushing, New York and moved in 1980 to Boca Raton, Florida, where he graduated from Boca Raton Community High School in 1983. He then graduated from the College of Boca Raton with an Associate of Science Degree in Mortuary Science in 1987. He was a Funeral Director at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home in Marblehead, Mass., and then later at the St. Laurent Funeral Home in Nashua, N.H., and the Stanton Funeral Home in Watertown, Mass. Walter is a member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Westminster, serves as the 2009-2010 President and former Board member and Sergeant at Arms of the Ashburnham- Westminster Rotary Club, the Westminster School Council Improvement, member of the Westminster Community Partnership, member of the Westminster Town Housing Authority, Westminster Memorial Committee, the Westminster Cemetery Commission and a former member of the Senior Council on Aging. He lives in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home at 123 Main St. in Westminster with his wife, Sharon, and is the proud father of two children, Zachary and Sydney.

Marissa Jenness

Marissa Jenness

Funeral Director

Marissa Jenness has been a licensed funeral director since 2016. She was born and raised in Leominster, MA, where she graduated from Leominster High School in 2012. Marissa began her career as an apprentice at Simard Funeral Home in Leominster, MA. She graduated Cum Laude from the New England Institute of Funeral Service Education in 2014. After graduation she became a licensed funeral director with the Badger Funeral Homes of Littleton and Groton, MA. Marissa joined Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes in June 2020. She has a passion for helping families memorialize their loved ones in a respectful and personal manner. She takes pride in being a source of comfort in such difficult times. In her spare time Marissa enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. She lives with her husband, Josh and son, Parker in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes.


Jaeleen Rivera

Jaeleen Rivera

Funeral Director Apprentice

Jaeleen joined Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes in April of 2020.  She is a 2019 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School where she received her Cosmetologist and Hairdressing license.  She is currently a student at Fine Mortuary School, expecting to graduate and receive her funeral license in April of 2021.  Jaeleen has an ardent desire and interest to work in the funeral industry and is happy to be working at Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes because of our philosophy that every family is unique and requires a different set of needs that she finds rewarding and creates a positive and meaningful impact during such a difficult time.

Whether contacting doctors or town officials about death certificates, working with associates and families of tributes, welcoming families who come to the door, or answering the telephone, Jaeleen believes every aspect of her daily work is essential to learning the funeral business.  "Each role is important to create the best experience we can for our families."

In her spare time Jaeleen enjoys spending time with her family at home in Winchendon, playing with her dog, Sully, and traveling to the White Mountains and the beach.
