Westminster- Wayne S. Goguen, died peacefully Saturday evening, November 11, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Gardner on March 23, 1945, the son of the late Rene and Marion (Mitchell) Goguen.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine (Fredette) Goguen; his three children, Paula Varieur and her husband Peter of Westminster, Kevin Goguen and his wife Catherine of Ashburnham and David Goguen and his fiancé Tabitha Sarasin of Westminster; his sister, Sheila Mattson of Cape Cod; his grandchildren, Kevin, Katelyn, Micayla, Alyssa, Chelsea, Adam, Kyle, Zach, Tatum and Bobby and his great-grandchildren, Gianna, Vienna, Natalia and nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his brother Bruce.
Wayne was a Vietnam War Veteran, proudly serving with the United States Army Corp of Engineers. He worked as a truck driver for over 50 years. He enjoyed many years driving his routes in Boston. He loved to spend time with his family, camping, traveling and helping whenever he was needed. He coached his son’s baseball teams and was active in boy scouts, pop warner football and all activities involving his family.
A Celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at the Colonial Hotel, 625 Betty Spring Road, Gardner, MA on Saturday, November 18th, from 12 pm – 3 pm. Private burial will be held at a later date.
