Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother
Gardner-Shirley A. (Wenk) Moses, 79, died peacefully Friday, January 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness at Heywood Hospital.
Shirley leaves two daughters, Debra Maki and her husband Richard of Westminster and Carol Bauer and her companion David Glazer of Pine River, WI; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother Adrian Rice of WV.
Shirley now reconnects with her four sisters, three brothers, her son-in-law, Michael Bauer and the love of her life, James in heaven.
She was born on October 2, 1938, in Tompkinsville, Maryland, the youngest daughter of the late Sydney and Edna (Penn) Wenk. She graduated from Easton High School in Maryland in 1958. She spent many years in Maryland before moving to Fitchburg. She spent her last two years in the Gardner Rehabilitation Center. Shirley’s best times were anytime she spent with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be private.
