Lunenburg- Richard B. Charron, 84, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Leominster Hospital.
Richard leaves his wife, Joan (Molway) Charron; seven children, Thomas Charron of Temple, NH, Meri Workman of WV, Ann Beaulieu of Leominster, George Carmichael of Rindge, NH, Sharon Newton of Fitchburg, Thomas Carmichael of Ashby and Joan Victoria of New Ipswich, NH; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Richard is predeceased by three children, Kay Charron, David Charron and Lynn Charron.
He was born in Leominster on July 12, 1933, a son of the late Adelard J. and Agnes M. (Cassie) Charron. Richard was a graduate of St. Bernard Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Richard and Joan owned and operated Charron Real Estate in Ashby for many years.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and draft horses. He also loved to travel, boating and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee. Family was the most important part of Richard’s life, as he loved them so very much.
Richard’s funeral will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 763 Mass Avenue, Lunenburg, MA 01462.
Burial will follow in the West Cemetery, West Street, Ashby, MA 01431.
Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Richard’s name to the Montachusett Veteran’s Outreach, 268 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440 or may be left at the funeral home.
