Leominster-Mary (Marland) Kalinen, 95 died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Manor on the Hill after an illness.
She was the wife of the late Forrest Iddings and Edward Kalinen.
Mary leaves three sons, Richard Iddings of PA, James Iddings of CA, and Forrest Iddings of PA; her only granddaughter and caretaker, Stefanie Sawyer and her husband Michael of Fitchburg; one great-granddaughter, Mila Rose Sawyer of Fitchburg; and one sister, Barbara Lyon of Lunenburg.
She is predeceased by one son Robert Iddings, two sisters, Dorothy Tautenahn and Nancy Payea and her long time companion Harlod (Chuck) Tredtin.
She was born in Fitchburg on July 26, 1922, a daughter of the late James and Doris (Lund) Marland. She was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. She enjoyed dancing, music and band concerts.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Mass Avenue, Lunenburg, MA
Burial will be in the spring.
A calling hour will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Montachusett Veterans Outreach, 268 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440 or may be left at the funeral home.
