Jason Brassard, 35 of Fitchburg
Beloved Son, Brother and Uncle
Fitchburg-Jason Brassard, 35, a life long resident of Fitchburg died Friday, November 10, 2017 in his home after losing his 15 year battle with addiction.
Jason was born in Leominster, on February 23, 1982, a son of Steven and Karen (Maki) Brassard and lived in Fitchburg almost all his life.
Jason will be lovingly missed by his parents Steven and Karen (Maki) Brassard; his three siblings, Kelly Crane and her husband Alan of Framingham, Amy Durkin and her husband Nicholas of Marlborough and Christopher Brassard and his wife Emma of Lancaster; his maternal grandfather, Francis Maki; his nephew Oakleigh Durkin; his nieces, Ashlyn and Ivy Durkin; girlfriend Nikki Barthel; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jason was an animal lover. His dog Fredo meant the world to him and was his best friend and companion. Jason was an avid sports fan and athlete, who especially loved the game of baseball. He excelled on the diamond, from Ansin Park through Fitchburg High, and on to Fitchburg State College. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephew. He loved listening to music and attending concerts, riding amusement park rides, going to the beach, watching movies and taking photos.
You are invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water St. Fitchburg, from 5-8pm. His funeral Mass will be held in St. Bernard Parish at St. Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg, on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 9AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg.
