Obituary

Lunenburg-Germaine P. (Gendron) Banaszynski, 87, died Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Sterling Village in Sterling after an illness.

Her husband Jerome J. Banaszynski died in 2004.

Germaine leaves five children, Cheryl A. Feenstra and her husband Wayne of Palm Coast, FL, Nancy S. Scipione and her husband Dennis of Englewood, FL, John G. Fuller II and his companion Nancy Cutting of Leominster, Robert T. Fuller and his wife Pilar of Southlake, TX and Jerome J. Banaszynski and his wife Elizabeth of Pottsville, PA; six grandchildren, Sarah Banaszynski, Katherine Banaszynski, Alicia Fuller, Vanessa Fuller, Shane Fuller and Jeff Cutting; one great-granddaughter, Liana Fuller; one sister, Jacqueline Gendron of Fitchburg and several nieces and nephews.

Germaine is predeceased by a daughter Mary Margaret Fuller and three sisters, Connie Gendron, Lorraine Powers and Theresa McDermott.

She was born in Fitchburg, on February 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Leo and Rosalie (Nadeau) Gendron. Germaine attended school in Fitchburg and graduated from cosmetology school in Worcester. Germaine was a devoted catholic and was an attending member of both St. Boniface and Our Lady of the Lake Parishes.

Germaine’s family would like to thank Sterling Village and Trinity Hospice for the quality care she received and the compassion she received from them.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main Street, Leominster, MA 01453.

Burial will be in the spring at St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA

A calling hour will be held in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 763 Mass Avenue, Lunenburg, MA from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
