Loving Husband, Brother and Friend

Leominster-Gary Destroismaisons, 56 of Leominster, lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully at home Wednesday evening December 06, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and close friends.

Gary was born in Fitchburg, May 10, 1961, a son of the late Arthur L. and Lorraine (Bouvier) Destroismaisons and has lived in Leominster for the past 20 years.

Gary will be missed greatly by his beloved wife Jane (Lorion) Destroismaisons; four siblings, Arthur A. Destroismaisons and his wife Kathleen of Athol, Nancy Niemi and her husband Anthony of Fitchburg, Alan Destroismaisons and his wife Sandra of Ontario, Canada and Mark Destroismaisons of Fitchburg; and several nieces and nephews. Gary will also be missed by his faithful friend and companion, his dog Buddy and his very large network of close friends, most of whom he considered his family.

Gary will be fondly remembered for his enormous heart and generosity, his love of life, sense of humor and his stealth patience and strength facing every obstacle in his path in stride. He never complained about any of the difficult issues he has faced but remained calm at all times. Gary enjoyed every day regardless of his circumstances and truly was an inspiration to us all.

Gary also worked for several years as a small appliance repair technician for Time State Trading. Gary recently returned to his love of the auto parts world and worked for Performance Transportation as their Truck Parts Sales and Service Manager.

Gary was a long time member of the South Fitchburg Social Club. He loved his frequent visits to Maine, camping and had a special connection with Old Orchard Beach. He also enjoyed his annual trips to the drag races with friends. His hobbies included golf,

Cruise Nights for his love of classic cars and spending countless hours with his loving wife and beloved family and friends.
