October 8, 1923 ~ July 31, 2017 (age 93)

Angelina Theresa (Fettuccia) Stoll, 93

Hubbardston: Angelina “Gigi” Theresa (Fettuccia) Stoll, 93, a resident of Hubbardston for the past 55 years, died Monday, July 31, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Joseph Stoll, in 2015.

She leaves four children, one daughter, Paula Jane Stoll and her husband, Mark Goetze of Scottsville, NY; three sons, Michael J. Stoll of Walbridge, Ohio, Peter J. Stoll and his wife, Artemis of Norfolk, VA and Neal J. Stoll of Lawtey, FL; as well as six grandchildren, Amanda Rose, Rhiannon, David, Claire, Nicholas and Daniel; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Mary, Paul and Flo.

She also leaves one brother, Patrick Fettuccia and his wife, Viola of Uxbridge, MA. She was also predeceased by six siblings, Pasquale Fettuccia, Agnes Bonaventura, Rose Valliere, Cecilia Fettuccia, Columbia Brennan, and Alvera Belisle.

Gigi was born in Uxbridge, MA on October 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (Gallucci) Fettuccia. She was a 1942 graduate of Uxbridge High School.

Prior to her marriage, Gigi was employed as a secretary for several years at Whitin Machine Works and volunteered in the Aircraft Warning Service (AWS) during WWII. She wed Paul on January 31, 1956. Together, they hand-built their home, working side by side late into the evening and on weekends when Paul was home from his carpentry day job. Construction took several years, yet they remained steadfast in their goal to build a home in which they could raise their family.

She showed unbounded dedication to her children in their pursuits, especially sports where she contributed vast amounts of time and energy, both for her own children as well as others, attending events as much as possible in support of the athletes and the school.

Gigi was a longtime member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Westminster and as an active member of its Women’s Guild where she held many board positions throughout the years. She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and refinishing furniture. Her pieces now adorn her house and those of her children. Summers for Gigi were spent at the family’s lake cottage, the backdrop for family-and-friend gatherings. Later, she, along with her husband and their sons, rebuilt this cottage, to be enjoyed by her children and grandchildren for years to come. She was a proud, nearly 50-year member of the Civic Association Scholarship of Hubbardston (CASH) Committee and a member of the Hubbardston Golden Agers, serving many years as secretary for both.

Angelina's funeral will be held on Friday, August 18th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church St., Westminster, MA.
