Thomas Joseph Williams

February 8, 1975 ~ March 13, 2022 (age 47)


Westminster-Thomas Joseph Williams, 47, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 13, 2022, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, MA. He was the beloved husband of Susan Williams with whom he shared 14 wonderful years of marriage.

   Tom was born in Fitchburg, MA, on February 8, 1975, a son of the late John L. Williams, Sr., and Kathleen R. “Kathy” (Charpentier) Williams of Westminster, MA. He was a lifelong resident of Westminster.

   As a self-employed carpenter who specialized in finish work, Tom excelled in his field and took great pride in his craft. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always taking his beloved dog Abby duck hunting with him. Tom was a talented musician who loved to play bluegrass and country music. He also enjoyed golfing and camping with his family. Tom will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and friend.

   In addition to his wife and mother, Tom leaves his two children, Jocelyn Ann Williams and Thomas Joseph “TJ” Williams, Jr. both of Westminster, MA; his brother, John Lloyd Williams, III and his wife, Muse of Vallejo, CA; his aunts, Ann Williams of Fitchburg, MA and Jane Loiselle of Arizona; his mother-in-law, Carol Dyer of Naples, FL; his brother-in-law, Stephen Ventola of Abington, MA; his nieces, Christina and Jasmine Ventola both of Abington, MA; his lifelong friend, Kurt Brown and his partner, Elaine Martin of Westminster, MA; Amy Wheeler and family; The Brown family; his beloved dog, Abby; and many other lifelong friends.

   His funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11:00AM in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Narrows Road, Westminster, MA 01473. There are no calling hours.

   In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Tom’s memory be made to the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MASSWILDLIFE), 1 Rabbit Hill Road, Westborough, MA 01581, Payable to Comm of MA – MA Wildlife.

   The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA has been entrusted with the care of Tom’s arrangements.
