Fitchburg-Theresa L. (DeMeulle) St. Jean, 84, a lifelong resident of Fitchburg,
passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa was born in Fitchburg on April 17, 1937 a daughter of the late Emile and Marion (LeBlanc) DeMeulle. Her husband Paul R. St. Jean Sr. predeceased her in 2008.
Theresa leaves a legacy of two children, Paul St. Jean Jr and his wife Kathleen of Gardner and David St. Jean and his wife Linda of Fitchburg; two brothers, Ronald DeMeulle and Denis DeMeulle; one sister, Marie Frechette; a daughter in-law Rose Clark, five grandchildren, John, Bill, Tim, David and Matt, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Albert DeMeulle and one sister, Jeanette Casey.
Theresa was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. She worked in the clothing industry as a stitcher with her last job being Margaret’s doll clothes she owned and operated her own ceramics studio in Westminster. She was a talented craft maker her whole life and sold her crafts for many years. Most of all she dedicated her life to raising her children. She cherished every moment she spent with her family. Theresa also enjoyed going out to eat, going for long rides with family members and friends, playing bingo, trips to the casino and collecting roosters.
At Theresa’s request funeral services will be private. The Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water St. Fitchburg, has been entrusted with the care of Theresa's arrangements.
