Susan C (Carey) Alansky

March 28, 1945 ~ August 1, 2021 (age 76)

Fitchburg-Susan C. (Carey) Alansky, 76 died peacefully on Sunday morning August 1, 2021, at her home.

Susan was born in Elizabeth, NJ on March 28, 1945, daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Sheridan) Carey.  She moved to Fitchburg in 1998 to be closer to her children.

Susan will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, James A. Alansky and his wife Angela of Fitchburg and Christine M. Alansky; three grandchildren, twins Samantha and Savannah Alansky and Maeghan Alansky; and many extended family and friends.

Susan was dedicated to helping others. When she lived in Elizabeth she worked for many years as a social worker in Elizabeth General Hospital. When she retired and moved to Fitchburg, Susan worked at Barnes and Noble for over 10 years.  Susan loved cooking and nothing made her happier than the time she spent feeding her entire family.  She also enjoyed shopping.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours. The Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water St. Fitchburg, has been entrusted with the care of Susan’s arrangements.
