Nancy A. Hazard, 86
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Fitchburg-Nancy A. Hazard, 86, formerly of Westminster and Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Oakdale Rehabilitation, West Boylston after a period of declining health.
Nancy was born on May 28, 1934 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Sawyer) Brown.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sprague W. Hazard, who died on February 9, 1996. Nancy was also predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence William Brown and Paul Fredrick Brown Sr.
   Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Brian Elliott of Park Hill, OK, Sharon Cetrano and her husband Samuel of Fitchburg and Mara Paul and her husband Brian of Derry, NH; six grandchildren, Shayne Paul, Luke Elliott, Ben Elliott, Sam Cetrano, Jonathan Cetrano and Timothy Cetrano; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as extended family members from the Hazard side of the family.
   Nancy worked as an administrative secretary for Deerfield Academy for many years.  She was a great knitter and sewer and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. She loved spending time with her brothers around the piano singing and playing the spoons. Nancy used her talent for singing with the Greater Gardner Choir for many years.  In her spare time Nancy dedicated herself to volunteering at Montachusett Home Care and in the earlier years, Hospice of Franklin County. Nancy also had a true love for the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher, which gave her so much joy. Nancy also enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as there was always an adventure to be found.
   A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held privately in the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water St. Fitchburg. Burial will be in Four Corners Cemetery, Middletown, RI.
