Westminster-Lori Ann (Phillips) Swedberg, 63, passed away peacefully on Friday April 1, 2022 in Wachusett Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lori was born in Fitchburg on August 2, 1958 a daughter of Barbara L. (Remal) Lawrence and the late Norman Phillips. Her beloved husband Dennis C. Swedberg predeceased her in 2008.
Lori will be greatly missed by her two children, Shawn Dennis Swedberg and his wife Amanda of Westminster and Talia Rose Martioski and her husband David of Westminster; one step-daughter, Shannon Ann Gauthier and her husband Richard of Gardner; two brothers, Christopher and John Phillips; two sisters, Rhonda Wyman and Vicki Ringer; six grandchildren, Jalen Martioski, Layton Martioski, Azariyah Martioski, Cadence Gauthier, Cameron Gauthier and Conlan Gauthier; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and father, Lori was predeceased by one sister, Sharon Streeter.
Lori was a graduate of Leominster High School and earned an Associates degree from Assumption College. She lived in Westminster most of her life and was a long-time member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish, where she taught CCD. Lori was extremely nurturing and giving. She ran the former Lori’s Story Time Daycare. She cooked and baked meals for Our Father’s House of Fitchburg. Family always came first for Lori. She cherished large family gatherings, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing cards.
You are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 8 2022 from 5-7PM in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main St. Westminster. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Saturday April 9, 2022 with a Mass at 10AM in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church St. Westminster. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Narrows Rd. Westminster. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial contributions be made to, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Westminster Benefit Fund, Inc.
