LUNENBURG- John R. Wnuk, 59, of Lunenburg, died Sunday, May 8 at the Life Care Center in Leominster after a period of failing health.
John was born in Natick, MA on March 7, 1963, and grew up in Monson, MA. He graduated in 1982 from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA. He has lived in Lunenburg for the last 10 years and prior to that lived in Ayer.
John was a multi-talented craftsman with strong interests in both carpentry and mechanics. As a carpenter he was known for building quality items and through his enterprise Wukiebuilt. He was active in many car projects, often in collaboration with his brother Norman, to customize Jeeps and perform other automotive feats. John loved to help people and took great satisfaction in helping people as a tow-truck operator for AAA. He will be missed by many.
John leaves behind brothers Stephen (Haila) of Olmsted Township, OH and Vincent (Kathy) of Lunenberg; sister-in-law Jean, nephew Paul, and nieces Julie, Cynthia, Andrea, Rebecca, and Hannah. He is preceded in death by parents Vivian M. and Stephen P. Wnuk, and siblings Margaret M. Wnuk, Joseph M. Wnuk, and Norman E. Wnuk (Jean).
