WESTMINSTER – Denise A. (Normandin) Rawlings, 78, transitioned to her heavenly home after a period of declining health on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Born on July 25, 1943, in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of Gerard J. and Irene C. (Lizotte) Normandin.
She grew up in Fitchburg and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1961. After high school, Denise travelled through Europe for a year before settling down in Virginia where she advanced in a career in Civil Service for the US Government. She and Ken were together for over 20 years before they married in 1997. They then relocated back to Westminster, MA to be closer to her family. After retirement, Denise worked part time for Harrington and Richardson Arms Company in Gardner, MA as an administrative assistant.
Denise had a passion for cooking and baking (her homemade pizza was the best), loved to read, had a slight addiction to the online game Bookworm and was a very competitive board game enthusiast. She enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and relatives via Facebook and was always looking for a new book suggestion. Denise had a passion for learning and loved a challenge.
