Obituary

Ashby-Carmen Nick Biondo, 75, died on February 12, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Marilyn Jo (Mathieu) Biondo with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. They met while he was in the Army, stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA. They married 6 months later.

   Nick was born in Concord, MA, a son of the late John and Josephine (Rizzitano) Biondo.

   Nick and Marilyn settled in Concord where they raised their family. For the last five years they have been residents of Ashby.

   Nick was always using his hands, whether that be fixing or painting cars, working around the house and yard, or woodworking in his wood shop. Most of all, Nick cherished time spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were his world, and he will be sorely missed.

   In addition to his wife, Nick leaves his children, Anthony Nick Biondo of Ayer, MA, Candi L. Demers of Lunenburg, MA, Kimberly A. Simoneau and her husband, Rusty of Rindge, NH, Joseph M. Biondo of Ashby, MA and his wife, Erin and Peter J. Bernard-Biondo and his husband, William of Hillsborough, NC; 15 grandchildren, Ashley Biondo, Patrick Demers, Justtin Demers, Nichollas Demers and his wife, Allyson, Curtis Simoneau, Anthony Biondo, Jr, and his wife, Sara, Erica Biondo-Simoneau, Brian Demers, Katrina Simoneau, Nicoletta Taylor and her husband, Gabriel, Colleen Bernard, Alyssa Demers, Alexis Biondo, Joseph Biondo, Jr., and Belladona Quinn; 6 great-grandchildren, Sophia Demers, Madison Biondo, Jaxon Pelletier, Brynnleigh Demers, Kayden Pelletier, and baby Taylor due in March; his brother, Anthony Biondo of Watertown, MA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

   Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg, MA 01462.

   His funeral home service will follow at 12:30 PM.

   Burial with full military honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475 will take place at 2:00 PM.

   In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Nick’s memory be made to Friends of Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice, 3 Patterson Road, Suite 3, Shirley, MA 01464.
