Harwich- J. Brian Connors,76, formerly of Fitchburg passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 from complications of COVID-19.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Herbert L. and Marie W. (Wiseman) Connors.
Brian leaves his brother, Robert M. Connors and his wife Beverly of Tallahassee, FL; his two sisters, Kathryn M. Connors of Franklin and Mary A. Bourque and her husband Robert of Townsend. He was the beloved uncle of Michael Connors, Timothy Demeritt and Ryan Demeritt, Zachary Bourque, Kerry Bissinger and Caitlin Bourque.
Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He attended Fitchburg High School, where he played basketball. He always enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and continued to do so even after high school.
In the late 70’s Brian moved to South Yarmouth. He loved living on the Cape. He took great pleasure in going out to eat, going to the beach and watching all sports. Especially the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and the Bruins! He loved hearing about all family activities and always wanted to know how everyone was doing.
His Catholic faith was very important to him. While living on the Cape, he was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth and Holy Trinity Church in Harwich.
Brian will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Heaven has gained a kind and gentle soul.
In consideration of our current restrictions on gatherings and to preserve the health of others, burial will be held privately in the St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg.
