Hubbardston-Elizabeth Nancy (Dufresne) Walter, 70 formerly of 17 Harugari Street, Fitchburg, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Legend Center for Nursing and Rehab after an illness.
She leaves four children and their spouses Wendy Elizabeth (Walter) and David Provencial, Stanford G. and Lisa Walter Jr. all of Westminster, Lorin A. and Melissa Walter of Gardner, and Brendy G. Walter-Andjur and Steve Andjur of Fitchburg, 8 grandchildren Brandy Walter, David Salvatore, Cody Walter, Eryn Provencial, Chad Walter, Kelly Provencial, Tyler Murphy, and Mikayla Walter, two brothers Edward R. Dufresne, and Louis Dufresne both of Lunenburg, three sisters Loretta J. French of S. Hadley, Louise A. Hemingway, and Jean Morris both of South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Aime J. Dufresne and George J. Dufresne.
Elizabeth was born on August 13, 1939 a daughter of the late Pierre Aime and Evelyn E. (Martineau) Dufresne.
She was a graduate of Fitchburg High School and of the former Stevens Business College in Fitchburg. She was a member of St. Bernardï¿½s Church. She loved to spend time with her family and her pets.
The Funeral will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010, from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 243 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernardï¿½s Church, 240 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Burial will follow in the St. Ceceliaï¿½s Cemetery, Leominster, MA.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 6:00 ï¿½ 8:00 P.M.
